Remode Collective – Sewing Classes & Workshops

The Remode Collective is a Community Interest Company (CIC). Remode aims to establish a multicultural community of crafters, designers, seamstresses and tailors that come together and learn from each other; building new skills and celebrating diversity.

Remode offers a range of creative workshops, classes, community projects and events. The workshops range from learning basic sewing skills to embroidery and dressmaking. The workshops are conducted in a friendly, welcoming, and sociable environment and aim to increase your confidence in various textile methods. The small workshop size ensures valuable one-to-one teacher and participant time, allowing maximum engagement and assistance. Unlock your full creativity with our varied and inspiring courses led by specialist teachers.

Promoting sustainable and ethical practices and skills is also central to Remode’s values. For example, finding innovative ways to repurpose waste textiles locally through running workshops to selling handmade products.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
