Festival Fringe Aerial Intensive Course with All Or Nothing & Strangebird Zirkus

Tue 6th - Sat 10th August 2013
10am - 12.30pm

After having collaborated in previous years on the Fringe success Uncharted Waters, All Or Nothing and Strangebird Zirkus come together to share their aerial skills and creative techniques with rising aerialists in this 5 day intensive. Development of aerial skills will be combined with creative exercises and two outings to watch Fringe performances involving aerial work/circus, which the group will discuss and critique. This course will be pitched at an improver/intermediate level. The objective is for participants to really take ownership of their space in the air and to develop a greater affinity with the apparatus whilst enriching their understanding of aerial as a performing art.

The course will be lead by Jennifer Paterson from All Or Nothing and Lucy Deacon from Strangebird Zirkus. We will work between silks, rope, static trapeze and hoop. Pricing is £130*.

*Tickets for the performances are not covered by the course price, however we will attempt to secure group discounts

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
