Leith Conversation Cafes [CANCELLED]

Every Monday
10.30am to 12noon

Leith Conversation Cafes offer friendly, respectful and engaging conversation sessions where people of different cultures can learn from each other, gain knowledge of their local area, practice their English and feel included. They are a chance for people to share stories, experiences and passions with others they might not normally meet, over a friendly cup of something warm.

Conversation topics for each session are decided about a week in advance by our volunteer hosts with input from guests. You can find details of topics for each session on our website – https://leithconversations.wordpress.com

The conversations are structured so that everyone has a chance to speak and be heard, however shy or confident they feel and no matter how many words of English they know.

Here are some of the comments our guests have left:

I’m so happy to share my experience abroad and have the chance to know and meet up with new people.
It was really inspiring. Thank you 🙂
Although I don’t understand some things, I have spent a good time with sympathetic people and I have practiced English.
Thank you so much, please keep going. We really need it.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
