Contemporary folk group Kitchen Stools tops the bill at Out of the Blue and Hip Kipper's monthly brunchtime live music event at The Drill Hall Arts Café this Saturday July 12th. Other acts appearing at Bruncheon! Featuring the 'Sound of Muesli' include Celter Schmelter's playing Klezmer and house jock DJ Mungbean spinning ambient sounds. There.s even an exclusive display of aerial acrobatics by Lucy Deacon and her students who have been learning the ropes at a special trapeze masterclass in The Out of the Blue Drill Hall's rehearsal studio. And of course, there.s the usual selection of delicious brunchtime fare such as the eponymous kippers, bacon rolls, scrambled eggs, beans on toast, croissants, coffees, teas and Bloody Marys.
Bruncheon! is the second Saturday of every month from 11.30am until 3pm with free admission and features local musicians, performers and DJs. Promoter Isi Lohss says, "It's worked from day one. The relaxed, open minded music policy has meant we've had some pretty established musos as well as new bands trying out their stuff. In combo with the themed brunch menu, it gives people a flavour of what a great way this is to spend a Saturday."
