OOTB Team Gets Production Nod for Scotland 's Largest Intercultural Festival

Out of the Blue was this month named producer for this year's Mela Festival . The festival, Scotland 's biggest intercultural event, is at Pilrig Park in Leith on the weekend of September 3 rd and 4 th .

The Mela , a form of traditional festival from the Indian sub-continent, was first brought to Edinburgh in 1995 by the city's Asian community. The event attracted some 40,000 visitors last year. OOTB's Mela production chief Dana Macleod says, " Out of the Blue is delighted to be producing Scotland 's biggest intercultural festival. Our mission is to be part of a flourishing, vibrant and diverse cultural city. It's something we're very passionate about."
