11.30am - 2.30pm, free entry

Brunch and live music event at the Drill Hall Arts Café. Local musical talent creating a chilled out atmosphere alongside delicious home-made café food in the open space of the Drill Hall…

A cracking line-up for our January Bruncheon put together by special guest programmers Lara Rosales and Sarah Gallagher who will also be hitting the stage! Come along for top-notch live music, great food, and excellent company!

Brimstone & Blake —> 12:00-13:00
Inspired by the new breed of New Orleans street musician and with a love of old blues, gospel and country acts such as Bessie Smith, Hank Williams, Blind Blake and more, Brimstone & Blake play a mix of standards from way back and their own original compositions with their signature four part vocal harmonies.

Einstein’s Wardrobe —> 13:30 – 14:15
Einstein’s Wardrobe is an acoustic country/folk band whose sound is beautifully combined with styles such as blues, jazz and the 60s/70s singer songwriter vibe. Formed by Steven McDonald (vocals and ukulele), David Salvona (guitar) and Gillian Hunter (vocals), the band have just released their second studio album “Dreams and Parodies”, the follow up to “Heaven on a Harmony” both of which can be found online at the band’s Facebook Page.

Sarah & Lara —>
Sarah and Lara are singers songwriters from Edinburgh and Spain, whose arrangements combine silver-voiced indie-folk, with inventive jazz-inflected treatments of standards. Inspired by many different styles of music and life experiences their combination of southern European and Scottish sensibilities is one to watch. After breaking into the Edinburgh music scene throughout 2017, and playing in various venues in the city as solo artistas and as a duo, they very much look forward to returning to Bruncheon as this month’s hosts.
