Welcome to the Out of the Blue Drill Hall Arts Market

December 2024 Arts Markets Dates

We’re delighted to reveal the dates for our 2024 December Arts Markets.

Our markets will be open for two days during the first weekend of December (Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th) and will showcase the best independent makers that Edinburgh and Scotland has to offer. A new feature for 2024 – we will be offering the option for stallholders to book either a one or two-day pitch within our market venue. All our stalls come with electricity provided.

Applications will open on Monday 9th September.

The Arts Market is a chance for artists and makers to sell their work and interact with both new and existing customers. The multi-day event, a fixture in the calendar for the last 20 years, is well-attended and the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere is enhanced by the refreshments available from the Drill Hall Arts Café.

Each stall includes a table (6ft x 2.5ft) and most are available with hanging space at the back of the stall if needed.

What to do next

If you are interested in taking part in our 2024 Arts Market, please fill in the Arts Market Stallholder Mailing List form before Wednesday 4th September (unless you have already done so). We’ll be writing up to all mailing list subscribers on Thursday 5th September so it is important to sign-up to our mailing list before then.

Please note: numbers are limited and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer stalls to all applicants.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
