Christine combines the use of natural dyes with techniques including shibori, felting, joomchi, relief and intaglio printmaking.
A project usually starts with a found object or photograph. The exploration of shape and colour follows and often evolves into a piece that was not originally conceptualised.
Christine has exhibited and taught felting in the USA and UK. She has sold many pieces on commission. One of her designs is featured in Lark Books “ 500 felt objects ”.
Although Christine’s background is in textiles, lately she has been focusing on the combination of textiles mixed with paper printing.
Christine’s latest work on paper has been exhibited in New York school of the arts.
She has collaborated with other designers to make rugs, wall hangings and interiors.
