For the budding actors, Strange Town are running their Summer Projects from Monday 7th to Friday 25th July, giving young participants the opportunity to bring their ideas to life in the form of their own short play. For those interested in learning new skills, Remode Collective are running a One-Day Kids Sewing Workshop on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 23rd July, and All or Nothing hold their Children's Aerial Summer Camp from Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August.
If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, Out of the Blueprint artist-in-residence Kerry Simms’ exhibition, THE SMALL PRINT, finishes on Saturday 12th July.
Abbeymount Studios artists HelloArt will be running an Asian Market on Saturday 19th July. Wander through stalls filled with handmade goods, jewellery, prints, and delicious snacks.
There will be summer bargains aplenty at our monthly Flea Market on Saturday 26th July, with over 40 stalls packed with pre-loved clothes, jewellery and collectibles.
If you weren’t able to see it this month, the Active Inquiry Flashback Theatre Company are back at the Drill Hall from Thursday 31st July to Saturday 2nd August with The Manuscript, exploring belonging, stories and multiverse travel.
To celebrate 10 years of Out of the Blueprint, the team are pulling together a programme of exciting events including a pop-up exhibition and market, as well as workshops. Keep an eye on the Out of the Blueprint website for more details as they emerge.
Throughout July, the Drill Hall Arts Cafe will be serving delicious seasonal home-made breakfasts, snacks and meals, including our own Drill Hall Cafe Preserves, which you can buy to take home with you.
Over at Abbeymount Studios, create your own perfectly fitting skirt block on Saturday 12th July in a one-day workshop with fashion designer Jen Byrne.
