The Alma Project: 3D Life Exhibition [CANCELLED]

Monday 30th March - Friday 3rd April 2020
Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm

Members of The Alma Project, a charity that uses the arts to promote mental well-being, are presenting an exhibition of sculpture and mixed media. The artists have spent a year exploring the properties of a variety of materials such as willow, clay, plaster and cardboard. Inspiration has been drawn from nature, the theme of ‘a haven’ and their own life experiences. The exhibition title is, of course, a reference to the form of the artworks, but also to The Alma Project’s aim of supporting people to live a full and creative life: moving from a 2D to 3D life. This event is funded by KPE4 and The Robertson Trust.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
