Out of the Blue Duty Manager vacancies

Out of the Blue is looking for a part-time Duty Manager at the Drill Hall who can start mid-October. With a minimum of c. 28 hours per month, our Duty Manager will be working regularly on weekday evenings from 5 to 9pm and Saturdays from 9 to 5pm and other times as required according to the OOTB Drill Hall Programme on a job-share rota. In addition, we offer work at other times, as required by the Drill Hall Programme and suiting the successful candidate.

We look for a person with good general fitness, good interpersonal skills and an understanding of the ethos of Out of the Blue. Good general awareness, perception and initiative, as well as reliability and punctuality are essential. Previous experience would be useful, but appropriate training will be provided. The position may suit someone with another main activity. Pay: £9.50 per hour (real living wage) plus 34 days paid holidays pa pro rata.

    The Drill Hall cafe will be closed on Wednesday 22nd December and reopens on Wednesday 5th January.

    Over the course of 2021 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.
