Exhibition: Hatti Pattisson, Frippy Jameson & Moira Patience

Thursday 23rd November 2017
10am - 4pm, free entry

A group show featuring new works by Hatti Pattisson, Frippy Jameson & Moira Patience.

Scottish artist Hatti Pattisson has carved a career painting emotive, expressive land and seascapes which draw inspiration from her surroundings, with a focus on fleeting changes of light and weather. Her work is often abstract in nature, and the act of painting is a space where Hatti can express her thoughts and emotions, exploring the boundary between the real and the imaginary.

Using acrylic paint, Hatti is able to create highly textural works on stretched canvas or board as well as hand finished prints, each overpainted to create a unique artwork in itself.

Frippy Jameson studied Fine Art Sculpture at Camberwell College of Art and Design and City & Guilds of London Art School where she was awarded the Madame Tussaud Prize for Portraiture. She trained in stone-carving at The Portland Sculpture Trust, Tout Quarry and with traditional stone carvers of Mahabalipuram, Southern India. She deals with the relationship between fragility and strength.

Frippy lives and works from her studio in the Scottish Borders.

Moira runs a flourishing business from a small studio showroom tucked away in a quiet street in Edinburgh’s New Town. Superb craftsmanship is at the heart of the Moira Patience brand. Everything Moira creates starts with a hand drawn sketch, and a quest to find the perfect gemstones for every client, working closely with ethical mines in Brazil to source classic stones but also rare cuts and colours, with every stone fully traceable. Each piece is then handmade and hallmarked with the Edinburgh Castle Hallmark.

In 2017 Moira was awarded an A grade National Association of Goldsmiths Professional Jewellers’ Diploma.
