We’re delighted to be taking part in this year’s LeithLate festival which runs from 24th – 26th June.

On Friday 24th June you can come along from 5pm – 9pm to see our two exhibitions, Marseille Morning and the Little Living Room Summer Showcase and enjoy chilled tunes and drinks at the licensed Drill Hall cafe! The Precious Metals Workshop will be opening up their studios too – a chance to see a wide range of beautiful handmade jewellery and to meet the jewellers!
Free entry and all are welcome.

We will also be hosting the following workshops at the Drill Hall on 9th June, (16th June at North Leith Parish Church Hall) and 23rd June, with a performance on 24th June (location TBC).  Check the LeithLate website for details.

In this four-day workshop, we will explore ways of moving together, connecting with each other and our surroundings in both the dance studio and local/Leith public spaces. Through movement practice and scores, we will work on developing bodily awareness to support ourselves for dancing, and we will create collective embodied experiences for exploring and re-imagining part of the neighborhood.

The workshop will end on the fourth day with a public sharing as part of the LeithLate Festival.

LeithLate
Move, Imagine, Share
A weekend of events, art, music and food to meet again and celebrate Leith

The Festival this year will be developed around the idea of exploring after the past two years the meaning of communal practices through sharing, moving and imagining together. Each day the events and the activities will invite the local communities, groups and visitors to join together and rethink the meaning of encountering again and recreating old and new collective and communal rituals and practices. This year’s festival will include exhibitions, performances, workshops, music events and food.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
