MUD – muddy painting and sculpting workshops

Drop in workshop from 12 – 4pm
£2 suggested donation per participant
Soil is what connects all beings; it is what we grow from. It has aesthetic, spiritual, cultural and educational benefits. We build with it, the soil creates our food, purifies our water, stores carbon and contains biodiversity. Through drop-in workshops of max 5 participants at a time, we wish for people of all ages to take part in the ancient processes of painting, sculpting and building with soil. Will simply be using soil and water, and basic building fabrics. We will be using the tones of the earth and experimenting with thick and thin mud to create tone and shape. Join us and be inspired to reconnect to what is beneath our feet. Become acquainted with these ancient practices, and get messy!

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
