Medusa – Shadow to Shield: Women’s Circle and Creative Workshop

Saturday 17th June 2023
10:30am - 1pm, £30

Medusa – monstrous or misunderstood? Creatively explore this powerful goddess and your own dark feminine to find group and self-empowerment.

After the success of the first goddess workshop, Goddesses of War, dramatherapist Abigail Nelson is thrilled to bring you Medusa – Shadow to Shield: Women’s Circle and Creative Workshop.

When we think of Medusa, we see the monstrous, deadly creature with snakes for hair. The vicious killer who could turn even the strongest of heroes to stone with just a look. But who was the women behind the monster? Listen to her tale then decide for yourself, Medusa – villian or victim? Monstrous or misunderstood?

In a safe group of like-minded women, we will explore the story of Medusa to tap into our own strength and power, innate qualities that might be lying hidden in the banished parts of ourselves. Using meditation, art-making, storytelling and movement, together we will creatively explore what it feels like to be empowered by our own inner goddess and by fellow goddesses.

All identifying women welcome.
