10am - 5pm Monday - Saturday
Exhibition Launch: Thursday 14th March, 6pm – 8pm
‘REMiX’ is a new exhibition by the latest artist-in-residence in Out of the Blueprint, Hannah Nugent.
With a retro-digital, glitchy mark-making aesthetic, Hannah’s work recreates the vibrant hues and luminosity of digitally-generated colours with fluorescent inks and blocks of solid colour. Over the past two months, Hannah has been experimenting in the Blueprint studio producing a variety of work: collage, prints and T-shirts.
Hannah Nugent is an artist living and working in Edinburgh. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in Painting and Printmaking in 2018.
Out of the Blueprint is a risograph studio and print service, providing training and employment for young people aged 25 and under, and supporting them with their own creative projects.
Hannah’s residency is the forth and last that Out of the Blueprint have hosted over the past year, as part of a creative programme which marked 2018 as the Year of Young People. The programme was supported by The National Lottery via Creative Scotland.
Out of the Blueprint’s work is also supported by The Robertson Trust and Big Lottery Young Start.
