Drill Hall based Strange Town is a theatre company for young people in Leith, offering opportunities all year round. Come and take part in their holiday projects (Easter & Summer), learn a new skill and increase your self confidence, while making friends at the same time!

Easter Project: Top secret, creative eyes only

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to unleash your creative potential with our ultimate challenge: making an entire play from scratch in just 2 days!

Pull out your best plots, create your characters and start your own story as we delve into our own dark and murky world of secrets.

8-10s: Tues 19th & Wed 20th April, 9am-4pm £70 (discounted & free places available)

11-14s: Thurs 21st & Fri 22th April, 9am-4pm £70 (discounted & free places available)

  • Covid-19 restrictions

    The Out of the Blue Drill Hall is open for appropriately social distanced and much needed conviviality and activity.

    We are now bringing back events, classes, workshops, and exhibitions in line with Scottish Government guidelines.

    Over the course of 2022 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

    We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
