Strangetown Easter Projects

Monday 3rd - Thursday 6th April 2023
9am - 4pm

Sign-up for the Strange Town Easter Projects is now open! Our theme this year? Treachery!

Careful what you say – there’s a traitor among us! Maybe a mafia member hiding in plain sight, a secret agent looking to steal our secrets or something else entirely. You decide!

Create your own devious play of mystery in just 2 days this Easter. You don’t need to have ever done drama before; you just need a keen enthusiasm to create!

Led by two experienced youth theatre practitioners, the young groups will be guided in every step of creating a play from beginning to end, all the way from choosing the setting, devising the plot and creating characters to bringing all of that to life in a live performance to friends and family at the end of the project.

There are two different projects for ages 8-10 and 11-14, each running for two full days from 9am-4pm.

8-10s: Mon 3rd & Tues 4th April
11-14s: Wed 5th & Thurs 6th April

Both projects take place in the Rehearsal Room at Out of the Blue Drill Hall.

The cost of the project is £75 per participant. Discounted and free places are available through our access fund.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
