Childrens Art Classes

Tuesdays 4pm – 5pm
Term 3: 21st January – 31st March 2020 (no class on 11th Feb)
Arts sessions for children in primary 1-7 exploring, experimenting and creating in a range of materials and styles. These classes encourage children to develop their creative skills and give them a chance to work in a wide variety of mediums whilst looking at and taking inspiration from artists work.
Led by Gallery educator and Arts engagement officer Poppy Richards, the classes follow a loose theme each term, This Spring term we will be looking at faces and people with an optional free visit to the BP Portrait Award date TBC. We will be doing a range of 2d and 3d work, using a range of techniques and varieties of materials and looking at a span of artists from 20th century up to contemporary practitioners.
Classes will be taught by Poppy Richards, educator at the National Galleries Scotland and Lorna Brown, primary art specialist, the ethos of the class is inclusive of all abilities and experience and encourage creative exploration and development at the childs own pace.
£6.50 per session (termly/half termly booking preferred)
