Childrens Art Classes

Tuesdays 4pm – 5pm
23rd April – 11th June 2019

Arts sessions for children in primary 1-7 exploring, experimenting and creating in a range of materials and styles. These classes encourage children to develop their creative skills and give them a chance to work in a wide variety of mediums whilst looking at and taking inspiration from artists work.

Led by Gallery educator and Arts engagement officer Poppy Richards, the classes follow a loose theme each term, to start the spring term off the group will be creating a collaborative illustration and written piece for a new art publication POWRR, on the theme of ‘urban jungle’ this will be published in the debut publication alongside other Edinburgh artist collaborations looking at the same theme. Going forward we will be taking inspiration from South American and Mexican artists and producing artworks in response to a new artist each week. All art materials and a snack and drink are provided with an optional gallery visit or drawing trip each term.

£6 per session (termly/half termly booking preferred)
