A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) – Freeze Frame Halloween Special

Thursday 31st October 2019
Doors open 7:45 pm, film starts 8:45 - ends approx 10:45

Let’s take you back to October 1984: Madonna’s Like a Virgin is at the top of the charts, Torvill and Dean are the highest scoring figure skaters at the Sarajevo Olympics and the brand new ZX Spectrum will set you back £179.99.  The film world is full of titles that endure to this day: Ghostbusters, Footloose, Dune and of course it is the year we are introduced to to Freddy Kruger and his razor gloved hand!

In November of that year the New York Times described Robert Englund’s phantasmagoric monster thus: ‘about as scary as extremely small trick- or-treaters on Halloween’. Despite not frightening the hard-bitten critic, Freddy Kruger has been scaring generations since.

Freeze Frame Halloween special includes our own in house prepared and baked pizza, fresh popped popcorn, bar open for drinks and pre-show entertainment with jack-o-lantern carving, costume competition, a horrifically themed quiz, bobbing for apples, tricks & treats!

Come and relive the gore and humour of the slasher classic’s debut as we screen Freeze Frame’s first ever horror on the spookiest night of the year, Halloween. If you have somehow managed not to see it then we’ll be very happy to make the introduction.

Book early to request a sofa to hide behind and remember whatever you do…don’t fall asleep!
