Out of the Blueprint’s latest artist in residence, Joanna Blémont presents a collection of new work. 

Artist Joanna Blémont dreams up uncanny atmospheres through natural forms and fragments of built environment. Drawing from her own personal dreams and early visual research in psychology, Joanna creates mirrored associations within her work to create enigmatic dreamscapes that are open to interpretation. Within her partially figurative scenes, details pointing to a specific time or place are subtracted and the image is shared through a collective lens. The mysterious, ambiguous tone of her work immerses the viewer in the language of dreams.

Primarily working in ink and watercolour paints, Joanna has translated her work into riso prints that retain the texture and colour of her original artwork.

Brand new work from the exhibition is now available to purchase in person from the Out of the Blueprint studio and online shop.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.
