Lucky Frame’s CoderDojo

April 2015

#artcore collaborated with Drumbrae Library Hub and visiting artist Yann Seznec of Lucky Frame to host the CoderDojo microproject.

The group had a go at everything from exploring game interfaces, to changing or switching rules or objectives, to designing and building controllers.

The CoderDojo project explored the creative potential of gaming – asking why people play, encouraging different thinking around winning and rules, and ultimately asking what could groups do to develop their own games and make their own fun.

CoderDojo is part of a global collaboration which provides free coding clubs for young people. It enables them to learn everything they need to become a great programmer whilst providing a safe, fun and sociable environment to do it in.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.
