PALS Summer Scheme

Monday 24th - Friday 28th July 2023
12:30pm - 5:00pm (Taster Day 12noon - 5:00pm)

PALS! is a free week-long programme of arts activities for 11-13 year olds here at the Drill Hall.

It’s a fun, friendly and safe environment for children in Leith to ‘play and learn stuff’, try new arts activities and meet new friends, featuring:

Drawing and comics with Out of the Blueprint
Drama games and performance with Strange Town Youth Theatre
Aerial and circus skills with All or Nothing

Programme:

Taster Day: Monday 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Tuesday-Friday: 12.30pm – 5:00pm.

Monday 24th July will be a taster day, with a chance to try out all three activities before deciding if they want to commit to the week.

This project is specifically aimed at young people in the Leith area, who moved to high school last year or are moving up to high school in August.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
