Out of the Blue Leith Walk – Open Studios

6pm - 10pm at 165a Leith Walk

A chance to meet the artists based at Out of the Blue Leith Walk Studios and get a behind-the-scenes peek into the work they do. Participating studios will be clearly signposted, and you will receive a warm welcome!

This event forms part of this year’s LeithLate, a multi-arts festival taking place up and down Leith Walk from 23rd – 26th June.

Artists participating in the Open Studios event include

Shiel Yule
This multi Disciplined artist will be opening his “cave of creativity” during daylight hours (safety equipment will be available) for all to peruse, and when it gets dark the fun moves outside.

Sarah Muirhead
Artist. Currently working on figurative art with a focus on identity, gender and ‘self’. A new edition of giclee prints will be available for LeithLate 16.

Nicola Shephard & Sian Bevan
Nic and Sian invite you to see how they create shows, games and workshops (there’s usually music and a lot of chat and games). Comes complete with a wall of stupid stories.

Johnathan Elders
Sculptures in the dark from this artist and ex-policebox aficionado.

Jenna Corcoran
Multidisciplinary artist Jenna Corcoran will open her studio, showing a selection of recent works on paper and a current work-in-progress, which she will continue to draw live during the evening.

Conrad Molleson
Local artist combining drawing with music on a variety of projects; a combination of music, animation and prints on display.

    Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

    We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
