COVID-19 Update

Friday 20th March 2020

In line with the UK Government and Scottish Government advice, with immediate effect, our premises are closed to members of the public until further notice. Our first priority is to the health, safety and well-being of resident artists, our staff and the communities we serve.

The Board of Trustees of Out of the Blue would like to reassure our resident artists and staff that we will honour our existing commitments despite the severe circumstances.

Out of the Blue will now look closely at sustaining and developing our existing business model in the fast changing circumstances, in discussion with resident artists, staff, funders and stakeholders.

Out of the Blue remains firmly committed to playing its part in supporting socially excluded and vulnerable individuals and communities, despite the present situation.

Over the course of 2020 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
