It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas at The OOTB Drill Hall. Before the snow settles we invite you to November’s Flea Market (Saturday 24th) to begin the hunt for bargains in the convivial atmosphere of the OOTB Drill Hall and fortified by fantastic cafe fayre. Also don’t miss the evening opportunity to dance to live music from The Klatsh Klezmer Band. Active Inquiry’s new Forum theatre project,Divided We Fall? will be touring Leith and unfolds with participants help at OOTB at 2pm on 28th November. Once December arrives we immediately get into the Christmas spirit with a duo of Arts Markets (1st and 8th) offering up the work of a magnificent 100 creators. Not only are artists offering to sell you the fruits of their labour, they are also offering the chance to have a delve into their studios to see where and how some of the work is made, at the Open Studios Event (1st). The lilting tunes and uplifting sounds of a special Christmas Bruncheon accompanies the Arts Market on the 8th.

OOTB are happy to be working in collaboration with Leith’s Puppet Lab to bring the enchanting Each Peach Pear Plum to the children and families of Leith and beyond. Come to see the show and eat the pie. (10th, 11th, 12th). The OOTB Drill Hall cafe also provides sustenance to a special not to be missed Christmas Wiff Waff Wednesday (12th).

OOTB are delighted to have won The Creative Edinburgh UNITE award 2012. Very proud!

    Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

    We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
