I’m an Edinburgh-based illustrator and designer who loves to dabble around in pencil, ink and splashy watercolour. With swirly bits.
I studied Illustration & Media Design at Edinburgh’s Telford College, and moved on to become an award-winning graphic designer. I’ve been working solo since 2013 and my client list is growing all the time.
My primary goals are to thrill my clients with results beyond their expectations and to elicit affection from my aloof ginger cat.
I am inspired by evolution: my aim is to reflect the potential positives I see from our progress as a species, which has taken one step further on the evolutionary ladder. We shape the world and our future with the technology born from our natural creativity. With my project ‘The Laser Garden’ I aim to capture a glimpse of that positivity through sculpture and performance.
The project centres around wearable laser sculptures.
From our studio based in Edinburgh, we handcraft beautiful, intricate jewellery from acrylic and resin, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that are truly unique.
We create contemporary pieces that express a love of colour and abstract form, believing in the power of colour and art to express who we are and as a mark of our individuality.
From geometric statement pieces that call to mind a sandy beach on a summer’s day to versatile necklaces that mimic the wings of fireflies, JoJo Blue Design’s pieces encapsulate the beauty of nature, paying tribute to the freedom of the unexpected.
I am an Edinburgh based furniture maker and designer specialising in custom made pieces. Originally from Glasgow, I moved to Edinburgh 6 years ago and established my studio in 2015.
My passion is for clean, simple designs incorporating subtle, yet intricate, detail. I am inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian pieces due to the simplicity of their design but the high level of skill involved in the creative process. I love to incorporate contrasting details, such as different timbers within the same piece or complementary details such as metal or leather work to lift the simple design to something personal and unique.
