Musician Diana De Carrabus aka Candythief on the beach

BBC Introducing artist Candythief, aka anglo-euro songwriter Diana de Cabarrus, first emerged in association with Fife micro label Fence records. Drawing on alternative, acoustic, psych pop, indie influences with a touch of chanson, the songs are melody-driven, occasionally theatrical, hopping between styles, and coloured by unusual song-structures. On record and live, Candythief is refreshingly distinctive and unusual, with live performances featuring a line up of cello, guitar, accordion, mandolin, bodhran and sometimes loops. A guitar and vocal duo, will guarantee you a foot tapping hour with classic hits from the 60’s. Come and hear songs by the Drifters, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, the Crickets and many more – all feel good, foot tapping sing-a-longs which guarantee a good time for all!

Sarah Gallagher

Originally from the Highlands, Edinburgh-based Sarah Gallagher is a silver-voiced singer-songwriter whose material ranges from energetic tales of escaping brides to thoughtful stories told from some unexpected viewpoints. Inspired by the sounds of Jenny Lewis, KT Tunstall, Bright eyes amongst others, she is growing an enthusiastic audience for her material wherever she performs ‘

    We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

    Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.
