Bruncheon featuring Bristol Branch and Maracujá Duo

Saturday 12th October 2019
11.30am - 2.30pm, free entry

Brunch and live music event at the Drill Hall Arts Café. Local musical talent creating a chilled out atmosphere alongside delicious home-made café food in the open space of the Drill Hall…

An extra special Brazilian themed Bruncheon in October, with the Bristol Branch and Maracujá Duo!

Brazilian vibes both from the bands and the café kitchen, with Forró, samba, pão de queijo, moqueca de peixe and plenty of dancing courtesy of Bora Forró.

Local band Bristol Branch play you the finest Forró and other Brazilian styles this side of the river Forth, plus some Cajun music, from soulfully melancholic to joyfully up-beat that will get you up and birling! Maracujá Duo bring you jazz and bossa nova with honey sweet vocals and accomplished guitar playing.

Bora Forró are the joyous bunch of dancers dedicated to this northeastern Brazilian genre of music and dance. Don’t worry if you’re shy – they’ll teach you a move or two… (or you just eat and watch)!

This is one not to be missed – até logo!

The Big Swap Event will be running alongside our October Bruncheon! This family friendly event aims at bringing diverse communities together to swap clothes and other items, and reduce the amount of textile produced and landfilled. Come and help the planet by reducing waste!

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
