January 2020 News

Tuesday 7th January

Happy 2020 from all at Out of the Blue and thank you for your support to help us reach our 26th year. Over the course of 2020 we will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.  We use the space we have developed in 6 Edinburgh buildings for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, cafe and more. Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

The Out of the Blue Drill Hall Cafe‘s latest social enterprise is the Cook School project which will feature a range of cookery classes and community meal events designed and led by young people for others in the community. Our trainees and former trainees who now work for Out of the Blue are developing a programme of inclusive, innovative and collaborative opportunities where members of the community will learn to cook. This is starting in January with cookery workshops for all ages and abilities.

Out of the Blue Abbeymount Studios are looking for a new Manager. Details of this great opportunity to work with Out of the Blue are on our website.
