Monday 1st June

Out of the Blue (OOTB) are delighted to offer a programme of exhibition, performance and events supporting the Leith festival 2015. The critically acclaimed Active Inquiry/Strange Town Young Company production of Persevere reprises (20th) alongside another chance to visit the community’s Citizen Curator and Jan Bee Brown crafted Seven of the 7th exhibition.

The Leith festival Bruncheon (13th) offers a ‘made in Leith’ selection box of music, served with delicious brunch from OOTB’s award winning cafe. The OOTB Drill Hall Arts Cafe supports a whole range of innovative projects including the Cafe Shop and Print Shed featuring beautiful work from OOTB artists and guest artists. And of course rummage for treasures at the OOTB Flea Market on the last Saturday of every month.

And overlapping with the Leith festival, Exposed 15 fills the Drill Hall with a phenomenal amount of highly accomplished work from 80 graduates of Edinburgh College’s award winning photography department (9th – 18th, Mon – Sat). Prior to that we are delighted to host OOTB studio residents Art in Healthcare’s new showcase exhibition; Open Days (5th & 6th)

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
