Out of the Blue aspire to provide space for as many people as possible to be creative. Property prices in Edinburgh means we often rely on partnerships with those who recognise the value of our initiatives and enterprises. We are at a pivotal milestone moment for our endeavours to further develop Out of the Blue Abbeymount Studios as a sustainable Craft Centre of excellence for the community. As well as accommodating many internationally acclaimed artists, Abbeymount Studios offers artists and organisations such as Out of the Blueprint the chance to fully utilise the teaching and production facilities.
Social Enterprise is at the heart of Out of the Blue initiatives and the Drill Hall Cafe Cook School has so far diverted almost a ton of potential food waste to produce pickles and jams. The cafe is now looking to employ a young person with an interest in food production and distribution as a Kickstart Cook School Assistant.
