October News

Tuesday 4th October 2022

Out of the Blue often initiate partnership projects which provide opportunities for people who face barriers to participating in creative activity.

This Autumn Out of the Blue and VOCAL are working in partnership to offer unpaid carers a number of creative and inspiring workshops that they can enjoy to take time away from their caring role, try something new and connect with others. These free creative workshops include aerial dance with All or Nothing, pottery with Edinburgh Ceramics Workshop, dressmaking with Remode Collective, jewellery with Precious Metals Workshop, eco printing with Out of the Blueprint and drama with Active Inquiry. The workshop partners all have studios in Out of the Blue buildings and provide participatory opportunities for hundreds of people each week.

Out of the Blueprint are also currently exhibiting the beautiful work of their latest artist in residence, Joanna Blémont. The exhibition runs until Saturday 29th October.

October sees the continuation of a huge range classes, workshops, exhibitions and events all supported by the much acclaimed Drill Hall cafe

Thank you for your support.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
