July News

Thursday 29th June 2023

With the summer holidays now upon us, here’s our programme of events coming up this July.

Now in its third year, Out of the Blueprint and several Drill Hall residents are once again running the PALS (Play and Learn Stuff!) summer scheme. It’s a week-long programme of free arts activities for 11-13 year-olds including aerial, drama and comic-making, running daily between Monday 24th and Friday 28th July. Applications close on Friday 7th July.

If you’re looking for a summer bargain, check out our Flea Market on Saturday 29th July. With stalls packed with pre-loved books, clothes, and other bric-a-brac, who knows what you’ll find!

Fancy getting creative? Out of the Blueprint can teach you how to produce your own 2-colour A3 risograph prints at their Risoprint Workshops. They’re running during July and August

Whether you’re visiting us for an event, or looking for a welcoming refreshment in a relaxing environment, the Drill Hall Cafe will be open throughout the month, offering a great selection of teas, coffees and summer treats. The cafe is open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm.

Thank you once again for your support and hope to see you soon! In the meantime, take a look at the programme to find out more about what else is coming up.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
