June News

Thursday 25th May 2023

From exhibitions and workshops to live theatre, there’s a packed programme of events coming up at the Drill Hall in June. Our largest exhibition of the year, Exposed 23 is a stunning exhibition of over 100 photographic images created by students at Edinburgh College. Starting on Tuesday 30th May it runs through to Thursday 8th June.

Theatre fans will love The Lobby. Produced by Drill Hall residents Active Inquiry, it’s part of this years Leith Festival. A comedy about incompetent leadership and style over substance, it runs from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th June.

If you fancy grabbing a summer bargain, our monthly Flea Market takes place on Saturday 24th June, with stalls packed with pre-loved books, clothes and other bric-a-brac.

Throughout the month Out of the Blueprint will be running their new Goccomatic Inductions at Out of the Blue Abbeymount Studios, where you can learn how to gocco print your own t-shirts, tote bags, and much more.

Whether you’re visiting us for an event, or want some relaxing refreshment, the Drill Hall cafe offers a great selection of teas, coffees and tasty meals and snacks.

Thank you once again for your support and hope to see you soon! In the meantime, read on to find out more about what else is coming up.

Over the course of 2024 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
