The Out of the Blue Drill Hall provides a variety of spaces all year round for studios, workshops, rehearsals, performances, events and exhibitions for the people of Edinburgh and beyond… This August, the mix includes ‘Made in Leith’ performances of The Sideshow initiated by Out of the Blue partners Active Inquiry, Strange Town and All or Nothing Aerial, and Made in Scotland showcase performances from Graeme Stephen, Fergus McCreadie Trio and Tom Bancroft.

To add to the mix, Out of the Blue’s well established Bruncheon provides nordic etherial electro pop from AINO ELINA and Dalmeny Street’s own DJ SOMEONE’S DAD spinning records with rootsy dancehall.

Out of the Blueprint are offering a great opportunity for participants to practice the art of printmaking in a series of 2-colour risograph print workshops.

Out of the Blue’s Drill Hall Arts Cafe ensures essential and delicious sustenance is provided throughout.

Edinburgh is in COVID Protection Level 4 with current restrictions essentially returning us to a position similar to the lockdown of last March.

    Stay safe and well.

  • Donate

Over the course of 2021 Out of the Blue will continue to offer opportunities for artists and members of the community to learn, participate and earn income.

We use the space we have developed in 6 buildings in Edinburgh for studios, workshops, classes, projects, exhibitions, social enterprises, events, clubs, music making, markets, a cafe and more.

Our all year round activity helps create the culture of the city, supporting the local economy and having positive social impact for the thousands of individuals and organisations we work with.

We would humbly accept a financial donation, however small, in support of our work.
